Celebrating one hundred years at the heart of Skegness.

The Embassy Theatre in Skegness first opened in 1926 and whilst the venue has had numerous names throughout the course of the last one hundred years, there are two elements that matter the most – Skegness and of course, entertainment.

The theatre re-opens for live performances at 7:30pm on Saturday 14th February 2026. If you want to start the celebrations a little earlier, the Box Office opens the venue’s one hundredth season from 11:00am.

From the nineteen-twenties to the twenty-twenties, the Embassy Theatre, Embassy Ballroom, Embassy Centre and whatever other names there may have been, have never detracted from the venue’s principle purpose – to entertainment audiences on the East Coast with top quality live productions, events, West End Tours, comedians, drama, community activities and so much more. The Embassy Theatre means a great deal to so many people and over the course of this centenary season, we want to hear your stories, share your memories and see your pictures. Please do call in with your pictures, send us an email or of course, comment on our social media posts. We’re not going to be letting this season pass without celebration and therefore, please do stay tuned as the season progresses. Today (14th February) is just day one – we have the rest of the year to celebrate. You’ll be able to join us for the live entertainment you love, purchase your refreshing beverages, tasty treats and of course, for this year, some exclusive centenary merchandise. More about that later in the year.

For now, we simply want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made a contribution to the success of the Embassy Theatre. Whether you have bought a ticket, (or tickets!), visited our venue for a drink or of course, spent your time here as a member of the team or as a volunteer, there’s only two words that really matter and they are… “thank you”. The venue would not be celebrating this magnificent milestone without so many individuals, groups, producers and of course, our wonderful patrons who have supported us throughout the last one hundred years. This is a centenary to be celebrated and rest assured, we will.

Visit our What’s On page for details of our forthcoming season and if you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact us. We can’t wait to see you here – whether you are a first time visitor or a returning customer, at the end of it all, we do it all for you!

See you soon.
