A cracking night awaits here at the Embassy Theatre as we welcome a host of 60’s stars to Skegness!
The Merseybeats are not only one of the most successful bands ever to come out of Liverpool, but one of the only 60’s bands on the circuit today with its two founder members still performing, Billy Kinsley and Tony Crane MBE. The Merseybeats were one of the most popular bands ever at the famous Cavern Club – they appeared with The Beatles more times than any other band. They remain one of the most exciting live 60’s bands on the theatre circuit, guaranteeing to have everyone standing on their feet by the end of the show!
Special guests will be Marmalade. They are best known for their recording of The Beatles number ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’.
Making a rare appearance will be Brian Poole. Together with The Tremeloes, Brian enjoyed such hits as ‘Someone, Someone’, ‘Twist and Shout’, ‘Do You Love Me’ and ‘Candy Man’. Brian will be joined by the New Pacemakers – featuring Steve Thompson (who appeared with Gerry Marsden for many years). The New Pacemakers will play an array of classic hits from the golden era of the sixties, including hits from Gerry & The Pacemakers.
If you can remember the 60’s and want to relive the golden era of pop, don’t miss this spectacular 60’s event.
